American League of Bicyclists names Rochester "Bicycle Friendly Community"

Rochester has sped away with a “Bicycle Friendly Community” award from the American League of Bicyclists. The city is one of only 21 communities nationwide to be honored by the organization and among just five west of the Mississippi River.

The Rochester Amateur Sports Commission (RASC) will unveil new three-on-three hockey boards at the Rochester Recreation Center Wednesday, May 19 at 3 p.m. The board system divides a regulation-sized rink in half allowing hockey players of all ages to work on their skills during the off-season. In conjunction with the installation of the new boards, the RASC announces a series of three-on-three youth hockey tournaments for the summer.
